Still recovering...

Hurricane Ike struck September 13, 2008 alot worse than everyone imagined. I went to Kemah for lunch, and took a few pictures. These are just a few of the buildings I saw still trying to recover...

Sweet babies...

We were stuck in a hotel room, and the kiddos were sound asleep. What better pictures to take but of them! I've had a rough couple of weeks, and haven't gotten out to take as many pictures as I have wanted, but I'm ready to dive back in it soon...So for now, enjoy more of my beautiful children!

It's park time again!

Raegan and I decided to have another little photo shoot. She did so well this time around. She loved feeding the ducks, but they didn't seem very hungry. She was even so brave as to walk up to a duck and try to get him to eat the bread out of her hand.

Friends in the Garden

I am house-sitting for my Mom while she is out of town, and these little guys always catch my eye when I walk up the sidewalk.

Robert E. Lee High School

I graduated from Sterling, but David graduated from Lee in 1994. I have always thought it was a beautiful building. I could not get any really good shots, so this will have to do...

Creepy Old Buildings

I decided to snoop around some old buildings I've been eyeballing for a long time and came across some interesting finds. There are some small buildings near the Brunson Theater that looked like they were some sort of drive thrus at one point. Here is what I found...The square in the middle of the door above is a knocked out window. You look in it, and this is what you see. Some sort of underground area under Pearce St. There are stairs that lead down there, and the door is deadbolted, so I could not get in, but I sure would not go by myself anyways!

The Night Sky

I could not sleep one night, so I decided to go to the Wetlands Center and take some pictures of the Exxon flare and the night sky. I can't figure out what the grey circle is on the second photo.

Dylan's Photo Shoot

I wanted to have a "photo shoot" with Dylan, but could not pry him away from the WII. I had to bribe him excessively to cooperate with me. It was such a beautiful day and I just wanted a few good shots. He did pretty good, but got upset when I exceeded the five pictures I told him I wanted to take. He is at the age where he wants to know "how many" or "how long." When we go to the store, he always asks, "How many things do we have to buy?" If we are going somewhere, it's "How many more minutes." And I have learned...don't make the number too high...it doesn't make him very happy. =)

Pretty Flowers

I love pretty flowers, and I love taking pictures of them. These are some pretty flowers we saw at the park the other day. The second photo is a flower Dylan picked me. The kids had a blast picking flowers for Mommy and Oma. They were so proud of themselves!
